Rescued From An Eyelash Viper - Living In Costa Rica
Updated: May 11, 2020
Welcome back to another Makai's World update! This week we had a pretty big scare in the house that we are currently living in.
We woke up to find a baby Eyelash Viper snuggled up and resting in our window. But do not let the word "baby" fool you! Some people believe that baby snakes are more dangerous than adult snakes because they do not yet know how to control their venom and they are smaller so they are more vulnerable which means they need to protect themselves more. Whether or not these myths are true or false, we did not want to find out.
Luckily for us we live close to the Jaguar Rescue Center and these kind of scenarios are their specialty. We gave them a call and sent them a few pictures so they could confirm that the snake was venomous, and after confirming that we had a Eyelash Viper visiting us they assured us that they would arrive within the hour.
You can check the video out above to watch the fearless extraction of this snake by the awesome Rescue Center workers!
